DESIGN PROPOSAL

ARCHITECTS STUDIO’s response to the theme ‘Crowd’ was to design a pavilion that questions and interprets the physical reality of the Singapore Government’s Population White Paper’s assertion of a 6.9 million population proposal. By installing 690 pilottis, each representing 10,000 Singaporeans, visitors get to experience for themselves what makes crowd. How many is a crowd? How much spaces does a crowd need? How does one find one’s own space in this crowd.
